The reading. Section 1 of 7.

Marriage Compatibility

Two people, read against each other on two systems, with a written report and a call to talk it through.

I read two people against each other on two systems. Numerologically I reduce each birth date and name to a life path and a destiny number and look at the relationship between the two life paths. Astrologically I compare the seven relevant grahas across both charts for conjunction, aspect or exchange, and separately score you against the 36 Guna Milan criteria used in traditional Vedic matching. You get a score and, more usefully, a written account of which parts of your two charts are driving it, and which part of that you will have to work at deliberately.

What you actually get

  • Numerological comparison

Both life paths and both destiny numbers compared, and the relationship between them explained.

  • Guna Milan score

The couple scored out of 36 against the eight traditional qualities, with each quality broken out.

  • Graha harmony

The seven relevant grahas checked across both charts for conjunction, aspect or exchange.

  • Named friction points

The specific subjects the two of you are most likely to clash on, named in writing.

The 36 Guna Milan criteria

The astrological half of the score is built on the 36 Guna Milan criteria, which are themselves eight qualities carrying a maximum of 36 points in total.
The eight Guna Milan qualities, their maximum point values, and what each one measures
QualityMaxWhat it measures
Varna1Spiritual compatibility
Vashya2Dominance and mutual influence
Tara3Comfort, wellbeing and health
Yoni4Physical and intimate compatibility
Graha Maitri5Friendship and mental compatibility
Gana6Temperament and lifestyle
Bhakoot7Wealth and family compatibility
Nadi8Vitality, health and progeny

The eight qualities total 36. A maximum score before the numerological comparison is layered on top.

What each score means

The report is a score out of 100. These are the four bands and what each one actually means in practice.

Strong (78 to 100)

Life paths and graha harmony both work in your favour. Friction here is situational rather than structural.

Proceed normally. Keep the shared practice of checking in during transitions, which is what protects a strong match.

Workable (55 to 77)

The two charts are compatible overall but each carries an area of friction. In practice this shows up as recurring arguments about one or two specific topics.

Name the specific area early rather than leaving it general. A compatibility score is a starting point for a conversation, not a substitute for one.

Needs deliberate work (30 to 54)

There are one or more genuine mismatches, most often around money, family involvement, or how decisions get made. This is common and it is not automatically serious.

This band is where a compatibility report earns its cost. The report names the exact friction points so you can address them deliberately instead of discovering them slowly.

Difficult (below 30)

Life paths pull in different directions on a fundamental level. Some couples work through this successfully with awareness; many find sustained effort required.

Treat this as information, not a verdict. Get the written report, and if you are considering marriage, talk it through with someone who knows both of you before deciding.

What the score is and is not

A compatibility score measures how smoothly two people are likely to operate together. It does not measure love, compatibility of values, or whether a relationship will last. Those things are not calculable from a birth date, and anyone who tells you they are is selling you something.

What the score does is put a number on friction that would otherwise be discovered slowly and expensively. A couple in the lower bands usually argues repeatedly about the same one or two things, usually money, usually family involvement, and usually without ever having put those two subjects on a table explicitly. A report that names them in advance is worth the fee, because the conversation becomes a specific one.

In an arranged marriage this is the most common use of the service, and it tends to be the most useful, because the two families usually start with very little concrete information about each other. An independent written report gives both families something specific to discuss rather than a general feeling.

Questions people actually ask

The same answers appear in the site's machine-readable files, so an assistant reading this page and an assistant reading llms-full.txt get the same thing.

How is a compatibility score calculated?
Two systems are combined. Numerologically, each person’s life path and destiny numbers are compared for the relationship between the two life paths. Astrologically, the seven relevant grahas are checked in both charts for conjunction, aspect or exchange, and the couple is separately scored against the 36 Guna Milan criteria, which cover compatibility, welfare, physical and mental compatibility, temperament, wealth and family, and vitality. The combined result is expressed as a score out of 100, and the report explains which inputs produced the number rather than presenting it as a verdict.
A low score means we should not get together, correct?
No. A compatibility score measures how smoothly two people are likely to operate together, and it identifies friction before you have to discover it. Plenty of couples score low and have durable, happy relationships, and plenty score high and struggle. A low score is useful information to work with deliberately. It is a description of where the effort will be needed, not a verdict on whether the relationship is viable.
Do I need both people’s birth times for compatibility?
For the numerological comparison, no: names and dates of birth for both people are enough. For the astrological and Guna Milan comparison, birth time and place for both are needed, because the ascendant and the house structure depend on them. If you do not have both birth times, tell us and we will do the numerological comparison and explain what that leaves out.
Is this suitable for an arranged marriage?
It is the most common use of this service. In an arranged marriage, the two families often know very little about each other before the match, so an independent, written compatibility report gives both families something concrete to discuss. The price is ₹1,499 for a 40-minute session and a written report naming the specific strengths and the specific friction points, which is followed by a discussion call.

Before you book: what a reading cannot do

Numerology and astrology are traditional systems of self-reflection, not validated prediction, and I do not read them as anything more than that. Nothing I give you is medical, legal, psychological or financial advice. I do not quote an accuracy percentage, because one without a defined method means nothing, and I have not run the study that would make one honest.
